TI2004 (Terrain Indicators 2004)

Overview

 

TI2004 is a set of tools for the calculation of the main DTM-derived topographic attributes. In the Figure 1 is showed the interface of the program.

Input section

Format header file (.hdr): georeferentation and main information (cell size, number of rows and columns) of grid files

DEM (nopits) grid file (.flt): pit filled elevation grid

Upslope area grid file (.flt): contributing area grid counted in terms of the number of grid cells

Flow direction grid file (.flt): flow direction grid

 

Output section

S grid file (.flt): local slope gradient grid evaluated following the D8 assumptions

SP index grid file (.flt): topographic stream power index grid in the expression of AaSb

TC index grid file (.flt): sediment transport capacity index grid in the expression of

 

 

 

ASP index grid file (.flt): adimensional topographic stream power index grid

Wetness Index grid file (.flt): topographic wetness index grid in the expression of 

 

 

 

Numerical parameters

SPI parameters: exponents of area and slope file in the expression of AaSb

SPI threshold: threshold expressed in number of pixels used for the calculation of the adimensional stream power index

Tci parameters: exponents m and n for the formulation of Tci

Specific Catchment area: pixel width (m) for the calculation of the specific upslope area
